Speedhammer is our custom fast paced 40k tournament with streamlined rules designed for quick decision making to get you into the fight as quickly as possible. 

Event details & rules

• 3 x 750 point games
• List submission 17:00
• Rounds start at 18:00
• Food break 20:30
• Final round starts 21:00
• Results & prizes 22:30 
• 60 minute games
• 3 battle rounds per game
• 4 objective markers. One in each deployment zone and 2 in no man's land.

List building & restrictions

• Maximum of 750 points
• Battle line units have sticky objectives
• RULE OF ONE excluding battle line units which have RULE OF TWO
• 15 wound cap
• Choose two stratagems from ones available in your codex. You will only have access to these stratagems and the stratagems in the core rules book. Chosen stratagems should be stated with list submission. Chosen stratagems can not be changed after list submission.

The mission:

Primary mission is Take and hold: In your command phase, you score 5VP for each objective marker you control (to a maximum of 15). In the final battle round, the player that went second scores at the end of their turn instead of the command phase.

Secondary missions pick from two of the following:

Behind enemy lines: At the end of your turn, if 1 or more units from your army are wholly within your opponents deployment zone, score 5VP.

Engage on all fronts: At the end of your turn, if one or more of your units are wholly within three different table quarters and more than 3" from any other table quarters, score 5VP.

Overwhelming force: Each time an enemy unit that started the turn within range of an objective marker is destroyed, score 5VP (to a maximum of 15).

Assassinate: At the end of the battle, you score 5VP (to a maximum of 15VP) for each enemy character model destroyed.

Big Game Hunter: End of turn - 5VP if you destroyed a Monster or Vehicle (to a maximum of 15VP).
